Luxury airport transfers included both at the start and end of the workshop.
If you are staying in Barcelona for an extra night (Sunday) then transfer to your hotel is included from the circuit.
Travel between the hotel and circuit provided each day via taxis (except on race day when walking is possible)*.
*The hotel is within walking distance however the nearest gate into the circuit is only open on race day (Sat-Sun). During this time, you will have easy access and flexibility to go between the race circuit and hotel as much as you wish.

Camera Equipment:
DSLR or Mirrorless camera system ideally with a choice of lenses. We suggest a decent telephoto lens such as a 70-200mm as a minimum, 24-70mm or equivalent and if you have one a 16-35mm. Also an extender if you have one. We also suggest a longer lens, 300mm+. This could be either a prime or zoom lens.
Prime lenses are also a lovely addition if you have them both telephoto and wide angle.
A monopod.
Filters - NDs and Polariser.
Plenty of fully charged camera batteries and plenty of SD cards.
Other accessories such as: Rain cover, chargers, battery power bank.
A decent camera rucksack is recommended.
Please get in touch prior to booking to discuss your equipment if you are unsure. We can always try to help you out with some of the photography equipment should you need it.
Outdoor Clothing:
Waterproof jacket, waterproof trousers, fleece, comfortable tops, comfortable shorts / trousers, comfortable trainers, flask, water bottle.
Please bring appropriate clothing for long hours spent outdoors at the race circuit. The weather may change multiple times during the day.

Mike Widdowson is a very experienced motorsport photographer, covering events trackside for 10 years.
Mike has covered from Grass root National series all the way up to World Endurance Championship races around the world.
Sports cars is really Mike’s speciality, where he really looks to bring the viewer in and put them beside him with his images and live the race through his eyes.
Mike has worked with clients such as McLaren, BMW, Aston Martin, as well as many other teams and drivers. These world leading brands have all worked with Mike over the years so it’s safe to say you will be able to learn a lot from Mike’s experience of photographing the world of motorsport and especially endurance racing, such as the 24 hours of Barcelona.

Greg, the founder and CEO of Trackside Focus and The Photographic Adventure Company Ltd, has been immersed in the world of photography since 2016. With a firm belief that the best way to develop skills is through small groups and personalised experiences, Greg launched the company in 2023 to bring this vision to life.
From 2016 to 2023, Greg honed his craft as a professional photographer, working across diverse genres such as motorsport, events and school photography. During this period, he also gained valuable experience in roles with some of the UK’s leading photography companies, including Wex Photo Video.
Drawing on his extensive industry expertise and a growing network of connections, Greg established The Photographic Adventure Company Ltd, later re-branded to Trackside Focus to offer exceptional photography workshops and tours.
The company is fuelled by Greg’s deep passion for motorsport, travel, and photography. Arrive in Barcelona from 12pm.
Transfer from airport to hotel (included).
Meet & greet at the hotel followed by a weekend briefing.
Pit lane and media accreditation safety training at circuit.
5-7pm - Dinner at the circuit and then return to the hotel.
Friday 26th September, 2025
Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Spain
8am: Breakfast in hotel or at circuit.
9am: Head to Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
12:45: Free Practice photography sessions.
16:30 - 18:30: Qualifying sessions.
19:00: Dinner at circuit.
20:45: Night time practice session.
Saturday 27th September, 2025
Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Spain.
8am: Hotel breakfast or breakfast at circuit.
9am: Head to Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Photograph the support races and sessions.
12:00: 24hr race start
Sunday 28th September, 2025
Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Spain.
7am: Breakfast at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
12:00: 24hr race finish
2pm: Finish and head home. You may wish to stay in central Barcelona for one night or you may choose to fly home Sunday PM.
There are multiple flights between the UK and Barcelona as well as from other international destinations.
You should aim to arrive no later than 12pm on Thursday 25th September, 2025.
You can book your return flight home anytime from 6pm on Sunday 28th September 2025 or you may wish to extend your stay in Barcelona.
NB: Please do not book any flights until you have had confirmation from us to do so.

To get the most out of this photography workshop you should have a basic level of photography knowledge along with being comfortable using your camera.
You should also have a strong interest in motorsport photography and be looking to learn and improve on specific skills relating to motorsport photography.

You can secure your place on this motorsport photography workshop with a £500.00 deposit.

The balance payment is due 8 weeks prior to the workshop start date.
An email will be sent out 2 weeks prior to this reminding you of the balance payment date.
If you wish to discuss paying in instalments, then this can be arranged.

Yes, you can pay in instalments.
You will need to place the initial deposit (£500.00) but then the remaining balance can be paid in instalments. The plan can be tailored to suit you.
The balance must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the workshop start date.

There are a number of insurance companies who will provide cover for public liability insurance.
We suggest photoGuard as they are a partner of ours and subsequently aware of our photography workshops and can provide a package to suit.

A good level of fitness is required for this photography workshop. We will be spending long hours outdoors at the race circuit with a lot of walking between trackside locations. You can do upwards of 15K steps a day!
You will need to be capable of plenty of walking around the race circuit whilst carrying your photography gear (two bodies, monopod, telephoto lenses etc).
This is also a 24 hour race so you will need to be prepared for this.
We will ask you to confirm at the time of booking that you have the appropriate level of fitness to take part. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us to discuss.

The hotel is within walking distance of the circuit however the nearest gate into the circuit is only open on race day (Sat-Sun). During this time, you will have easy access and flexibility to go between the race circuit and hotel as much as you wish.
On the other days, taxis will be provided to travel between the hotel and circuit (a journey time of approximately 5 minutes).

In fact, we are one of the only providers of photography tours and workshops here in the UK that financially protects their customers in line with the Package Travel Regulations 2018.
